about Festival of National Creativity at National Sorochynskiy Fair

1. Purpose and Objects

1.1. The festival of national creativity takes place in the aims of development of the Ukrainian amateur art, preservation and popularization of national songs, ceremonies and supporting of masters of national crafts, in assistance to expansion of art world outlook of participants, enrichments of their spirituality, searching and supporting of capable, gifted, talented persons, adjustment and establishment of close creative relations between regions of Ukraine separate creative collectives and executors.

2. Founders and organizers

2.1. A limited liability company «Sorochynskiy Fair», Poltava regional state administration. The festival takes place with the support of the Ministry of culture and tourism of Ukraine.

3. Conditions and order of carrying out

3.1. The festival takes place in August during carrying out of National Sorochynskiy Fair in village Velyki Sorochyntsi, Poltava region annually. Professional and amateur folklore collectives of Ukraine and other countries of the world, the masters of arts and crafts, artists, humorists are invited to Festival.

3.2. The festival passes in two stages:
I - competitive performances of participants (to 5 minutes)
II-concert programs of collectives-participants on scenes and platforms of National Sorochynskiy fair (performances last within 5 days due to the separate schedule).

3.3. The works offered on competition are estimated by following criteria:
- Mastery level, scenic culture;
- Suits, skillful use of elements of stage adaptation;
- Curiosity, originality of execution of work;
- Reflection in a work of a local material.

3.4. Language of the works is Ukrainian. The music accompaniment for participants can be: own instrumental support, the concertmaster, dancing collectives can have a soundtrack.

3.5. The jury carries out the estimation of performances of participants. The composition of jury includes leading painters and art workers of Ukraine, art directors of folklore collectives.

3.6. All auditions take place publicly. The competition jury has the right to make the decision on program reduction, the termination of performance which falls outside the limits regulations with the consent of all members.

3.7. Distribution of places among participants is defined at session of jury by voting by show of hands. The jury decision is definitive, to revision and can not be appealed.

3.8. The masters of arts and crafts receive diplomas of the participant of festival. The best of them acquire the right of carrying out of master classes on the central manors of fair.

4. An order of giving of documents

4.1. Applications on participation in Festival are accepted till the 1st of August by management of culture of the Poltava region state administration and organizing committee of National Sorochynskiy Fair (detailed conditions and addresses are applied).

5. Financial conditions

5.1. Financing of the Festival is carried out by the expense of means of the state and local budgets and other receipts.

6. Prizes and awards

6.1. The best collectives - participants of Festival will be awarded by diplomas within the delivery of memorable gifts from organizers and sponsors due to the jury decision. Awarding of winners will take place within carrying out of the competitive program.

6.2. Due to the initiative of official bodies, public organizations and associations, enterprises, funds, the jury has the right to award participants special additional diplomas and prizes.

7. Information support

7.1. The festival will be light out in regional and public mass media (radio, television, printing editions).
